Dr. Stetson receives Subspecialty Certificate in Orthopaedic Sports Medicine

Dr. Stetson recently became one of the first orthopaedic surgeons in the United States to receive a Subspecialty Certificate in Orthopaedic Sports Medicine. This certification of added qualification requires documented experience in sports medicine and passing a written examination which Dr. Stetson completed in 2007. The certificate is issued by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. Dr. Stetson has also just completed his American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery re certification process which all board certified orthopaedic surgeons are required to renew every ten years with a rigorous written examination.

Dr. Stetson Team Physician for USA Mens Olympic Volleyball team

Dr. Stetson continues to serve as one of the team physicians for our USA Men’s Olympic Volleyball team which won the gold medal at the 2008 Beijing Olympics. Dr. Stetson also serves as a consultant for the USA Women’s Olympic Volleyball team which won a silver medal at the Beijing Olympics. Olympic Volleyball Player Testimonial

USA Men’s Olympic Volleyball Player, Riley Salmon, avoided surgery, and won an Olypmpic Gold Medal for our USA Mens’ Volleyball Team. He came to Dr. Stetson two years ago after being told by another doctor that he needed to have surgery on his shoulder which may end his career and his Olympic dreams.
